John and Diana were married on September 7, 1969. John is a graduate of Truett McConnell College, Mercer University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Diana does not work outside the home and enjoys an active life in the church and with family.

The couple have two grown children, Christina and Joseph who are both married.

Christina is married to Stephen Lafont and they make their home in Moorseville, North Carolina where Stephen is employed in Lowes Corporate office and Christina serves as manager for a local LifeWay Christian retail store. Christina just ran a half marathon in New Orleans (2/13/2011)

Joseph is married to the former Beth Willis and the couple make their home in Demorest, Georgia. They have a daugther (see photos below) Kalen Grace, who was born April 17, 2004. Joseph is currently serving in the Admissions area at Toccoa Falls College.
Joseph and his brother-in-law are starting a new business. Beth is leaving Crown Ministries and is launch her own business inorder to be at home with the kid(s).

John and Diana would have to include their dogs, Dixie (a golden retriever) and Darla (an english setter) in any discussions of family. They also inherited a cat (pumpkin) when Christina married.
